The "laser chase" game is always a big hit with the dogs. I turn off the lights and use the laser pointer like the decoy rabbit at the greyhound races. They love it! WARNING: if not used properly, laser games can make your dog neurotic.

The answer to last weeks question (Is it o.k. for you to use human shampoo on your dog?) is no. Humans sweat out pores in the skin. Dogs do not. Human shampoo is designed to wash out all the chemicals we sweat. Dogs shampoo is mild in comparison, only needing to wash dirt off the hair itself. Can you do it? you could. I wouldn't recommend it though. Correctly answered by Benjamin Moore. Benjamin are you a client?

Harley is a 9yr old girl. She was striving to become an interior designer. She was "hemming" the curtains and "fixing up" the walls and things. Now her mom wants her to spend a bit of time here at Canine Antics to burn a little energy.:)

Tomato was found roaming the streets of Mexico. Her awesome family found her and gave her a place to comfortably live out her years.

The answer to last weeks question ( Is a dog mouth cleaner than a human mouth?) is NO. A dogs mouth is not any cleaner than a humans. Humans have the forethought to practice good hygiene techniques, and dogs do not. Science tell us that there are no known super cleansing agents in dog saliva. Always remember, a dogs tongue is their washcloth and their toilet paper. :) haha. Again was answered by Herbie and Benjamins mom. Shes smoking you folks!! TRIVIA!!!!!!!! IS A DOGS MOUTH CLEANER THAN A HUMANS?

The answer to last weeks trivia question (Is a mix breed HEALTHIER than a pure bred dog?) is; NO. Mixed breeds are no healthier than a pure bred. Mix breeds can still fall victim to all the same ailments and sickness and any other dog does. The only advantage a mix breed has over a pure bred is, genetic defects due to poor breeding is not going to be passed on as easily. The oldest dog in history was a pure bred 26yr old Aussie Cattle Dog!!! B'lanna and Lola get a free Hextra for participating

The correct answer to last weeks question (Why do animal eyes appear to glow when you shine a light in their face?) is; In animals the retina has a reflective layer called the tapetum lucidum. This layer reflects light at the back of the eye increasing sight in low light. It was correctly answered by Herbie and Benjamins mom.
